Well, I just went to the doctor in Ann Arbor on the tenth. We ended up with good news and bad news. The tumor in my leg is officially gone. YEA!!!! Although, I still have eleven tumors in my lungs and they are all very small. The doctor measured the two largest tumors and they are slowly growing. As you may already know, I was supposed to start a new research medication this month, but that has been put on hold. When the doctors begin a research drug, they have to have it approved by the ethics board. In this case, the ethics board felt that this medication was going to be too high of a dose. The doctors lowered the dose and now they are waiting on approval again from the ethics board. This should take about two more months. Dr. Schutze said that my tumors are growing so slowly that another two months without meds should not make a big difference.
