Week 18 of the antibody
Well, as many of you know I had another CT Scan yesterday. It showed that there has been no change in the size of my tumors since July. This is awesome!! I know that a lot of us are wishing that they would shrink already, but that is not always a good thing. Once your cancer goes into remission (goes away) it is exciting but it will most likely come back at some point and when it comes back, it grows faster and it is much more aggressive. So, stable and no change is absolutely wonderful! I was talking with my doc about some other studies happening and he informed me that there is a new study designed specifically for my kind of cancer (all of the other studies are for the broad umbrella of sarcoma). The only thing about this new one is that it is only available in New York. We have decided that if the one that I am on now stops working, we will try the new one.
When I was at my app yesterday, my port became clogged (clotted). I have a double port and both of them were clogged. The nurses were able to free one of them but not the other, so next week when I go, I will be having a dye test to figure out where the clot is and they will go from there. I am not sure about the procedures or anything, but it really isn't a big deal and I will keep you all updated.
Thanks for all of your prayers (they are working) and your support!!!
