Hello,
Well, I am in my fifth round of the
reolysin treatment. I had my CT scan yesterday and the results aren't all that good. My tumors have grown 15% since January. That was really alarming because the last CT showed that one of my tumors had hallowed out (lost cancer cells). Now, that one has filled back in. In the past, it took 2 years for my tumors to grow 20% which raises the question "why such a fast growth"? I asked my doctor and she said that as the cancer progresses and reaches
closer to the end stages (stage 4) it will grow faster and faster. This obviously isn't good. Yes, I am a little scared and worried. I know that God has a plan and I know that all of this is in His hands, but it still worries me. I will stay on
reolysin for this month and next month and I will have another CT scan in July. If my tumors show any more growth, then it is apparent that this drug isn't working and I will have to choose another drug. My doctor says that the next best option is an antibody that gets injected once a week. Yes, that is a lot of traveling, but if it works, it is worth it.
Please keep praying for my family as they are going through this rough time.
Thanks for all of your prayers and your support!
